It is important for everyone to connect to an important Thai monk as it brings benefits to the life and few were as influential in the modern time as Luang Phor Pern of Wat Bang Phra. His temple became THE place for Sak Yant and the culture around it, which is still popular today despite the fact that Luang Phor died a long time ago (but was alive when this was made, so it was blessed by him).
The locket consists of a simple enamel plate with the traditional image of LP Pern riding a Tiger, which is here surrounded by central Thai script.
The back has a large piece of his robe, which brings an essence to the piece as it is believed that the body of high monks becomes magic itself. Onto that piece has been pressed a Buddhist metal piece at the top and an old coin, a 5 Satang coin from 2500, 64 years ago. At that time 5 Satang would have bought a bowl of noodles even though it is only 0.05 baht and the significance is the fact that it was the turn of the century. A wonderful old locket to one of the greatest monks of the last generation and rare.
Measures 1.6" in its fine old silver case.

A Beautiful Locket to Luang Phor Pern in silver 1994
A Roop Lor is an amulet dedicated to a monk, which is traditionally as his seated image in a metal but I am including this item in that category because it carries a piece of his robe.
