A Duang Taa Prai Amulet by Ajarn Verataep - 2019 - the eye of fortune
   Ajarn Verataep is one of the greatest Prai magicians of this generation, and his early works were groundbreaking and terrifying in equal measures. I love his work, and all my Kuman Thong are from Ajarn Verataep as he is the best at KMT's.
   This is a type of amulet known as a Duang Taa, which translates as the 'eye of fortune' and it has always surprised me that so few people have the Wicha to make these. The most famous ones are by Luang Phor Pina, but real ones of those disappeared long ago.
   Ajarn Verataep's version of this amulet is fabulously stylish. It is made of male Prai powders and earths and it seeks out good fortune from the heavens above. The word Duang is also related to astrology and it is like these call on the angels to help find us the best fortune available to us at any particular time. As is often the case with Ajarn Verataep, there is no Takrut in this piece, the power comes from using the best materials and having a powerful blessing. Like many Ajarns, he has studied various forms of regional magic and this particular form is one of the Isaan styles. A fantastic amulet to raise the fortunes.
