I thought I should list a few real Buddhist amulets rather than you buying the unblessed rubbish online, and it is possible to get astonishing ones at an affordable price. This is a stunning old Somdet Amulet that was made in 1972 at Wat Sam Pluem and blessed by Luang Pu To, many spiritual Masters and high level monks and they recently released more from under the main Buddha of the temple. So these have sat under the Buddha from 48 years, constantly becoming more special.
This is a very simply original style Somdet that has been pressed from the crushed powders from an old edition of a Somdet and the dust from part of a crushed Stupa. The organiser of the making of these was a General who was the Minister of Defence at that time and there were 3000 made at that time. The quantity made must have meant that these were going to be used by high soldiers for protection from harm while in the military, a common practice up until the modern period.
The front shows a very fine quality Buddha on his Dias that has never been coloured and it seems to shine with Metta. The rear just has a fine Lion which was put there to praise an old General who had 'Lion' in his name, and that is it, a simpler and more beautiful amulet would be hard to find - now cased in silver to mark its quality.
This is an exceptionally well made piece that brings Metta and good fortune, as well as protection from all forms of harm, which includes black magic. I love it when a temple either buries amulets in their grounds to be dug up decades later or keeps them in a special place as support for the temple in the future.
An exceptional piece of spiritual work measures 2.5" and comes with the Namo Dtassa chant.
This item must be worn high on the body and any prai worn at the same time would go round the waist.

A Fine Old Somdet Amulet in silver from Wat Sam Pluem 1972 LAST ONE
Pure Buddhist amulets (without Prai materials) are known as Puttakhun magic and they work in a gentler way but still offer sustained magical force.
