Great Mai Kru come in many forms and they are used for both control and blessings. This is a fabulously old style Mai Kru that has been made from the Metal Rods that are used to pierce a corpse while burning in the traditional manner so it doesn't pop, and they are also inserted to turn the corpse to enable it to burn evenly.
I periodically empty the wand stores of Ajarn Krit as he is one of the few Ajarns in the country who makes them individually. When he finds the right materials he puts one together and they can either be 'posh' forms, where the wood is carved and turned or like here, raw as hell. These Lek Kanan wands use a potent prai metal that is often taken for making Miit Mhor but they can also be used for Prai wands when blessed correctly on the dark moon. This one has added blessings for money so are good for tapping on wallets or using to structure business with a little magical help.
The string binding on the handle is to stop any rust stains on the hands and this has been blessed for protection. What Ajarn Krit Payak has made here is a powerful tool for direction and influence on the world around us. It is good to leave this in the window when it is a dark moon as its energies are refreshed on that night.
I adore work like this as they hark back to ancient times. There is a ritual that needs to be performed to make this item yours but the ritual itself is wonderful and worth the time.

A Potent 13" Lek Kanan Prai Mai Kru Wand by Ajarn Krit
A Mai Kru is a teachers staff and is actually closely related to the Miit Mhor knives but they come in more varieties. These can be prai or Buddhist magic and be made from anything from potent tree roots to the metal rods that are used to turn over a corpse during cremation to ones that are made from holy trees
