The Yak or Yaksa are an extremely potent form of protection from all harm, especially when made with prai, although that is rare. The Yaksa guard the gates of temples and are the ogres and giants of the system. They are used frequently in various forms of Burmese amulets, most commonly on their full Panneng.
These are a rare example of a Prai Yaksa from the hands of Ajarn Krit Payak and have been called the Phayayak Purisart. The Purisart is also a rare Lanna Sak Yant that banishes ghosts and yes, I have one due to my work.
The contents of this amulet are super potent and include the bone and earths from 7 cemeteries but what really kicks it up a notch is the inclusion of brain powder from a Westerner. Dandee Dupree was a Russian national who drowned while scuba diving (odd name) at the age of 27 and I have his Panneng coming too. Ajarn considers the inclusion of Western prai a real boon because it is generally quite aggressive but all ghosts talk in a similar way and can be placed into an amulet by skilled practitioners.
For extreme protection in all its forms.

A Prai Phayayak Purisart Amulet by Ajarn Krit Payak in silver
The Yak or Yaksa are an extremely potent form of protection from all harm, especially when made with prai, although that is rare. The Yaksa guard the gates of temples and are the ogres so rightly feared in Burma, which results in their commonly use on full Panneng.
