This is an old issue Mae Takien from the Master of Prai, Ajarn Verataep, a magnificent Bangkok magician whose heyday was the period that this piece comes from, around 2015. This was the period I was getting into prai and his work blew my mind as it was potent but kind, which is an unusual combination.
It is rare to find good Mae Takien amulets. This one has been cast in two halves with the front being made from the dust of ground Takien wood, and the back from graveyard earths and good female prai. The ground wood came from a branch that was cut off because a few local ladies used a lower branch for suicides, which makes it supernaturally potent and the source of the ghost hair is one of the ladies who hung herself. The back holds a plug of prai bone and a Takrut for activation with all then set into a great prai oil for extra attraction, something for which Ajarn Verataep is renowned.
I adore the tree spirit amulets as they carry the power of nature itself backed up by strong prai and this is a special piece that helps with attraction, enchantment and great fortune. Mae Takien is also known to grant wishes, help lovers get together and hold them in love, three aspects that explains why there are many Mae Takien shrines in Thailand. The area around these shrines always appear to have been recently swept as her spirit enjoys cleanliness close to where she resides.
Measures 2.5" and comes with Ajarn Verataep's card and kata. This is an older issue than the previous ones I had and from the classic period of Ajarn Verataep.
It is difficult to find prai as good as this.

A Stunning Mae Takien Prai Amulet by Ajarn Verataep in silver LAST ONE
The Takien tree is famous in Thailand for holding a particularly strong spirit that is superb for enchantment, protection and good fortune but wood amulets to her are rare as the tree is protected.
