Leklai amulets are rare now, especially when they are of this quality and potency.
This is an exceptional piece of magic from Ajarn Bess, an Ajarn from Chiang Mai who tragically died 10 years ago in an accident and his family are selling his remaining pieces. He was exceptionally talented, a regional legend despite his age, a child prodigy for magic whose product was exceptional. The prices on his items are now rising exponentially so it seems that his pull as a magician extends beyond his death, much in the same way as Phor Sala Tan.
His family and Luksit have been releasing his old product due to a steep rise in the interest in his work, which has come from experience only as there is little written about Ajarn at this time. When I saw this I have never grabbed an item as quickly because this is top Leklai, as good as any monk Leklai I have come across. Ajarn Bess collected Leklai from caves and we even have photos of him doing it - see above. The Leklai here is in the shape of a Nak Prok, an image of the Buddha being sheletered from the rain by a 7 headed Naga. The back simply has a Yant Na and that's it.
This piece is exceptional as Ajarn Bess and is for protection in all its forms. I also find good Leklai to be an access to nature and the natural lore.
Good Leklai is becoming very difficult to find.

A Stunning Nak Prok Leklai Amulet by Ajarn Bess in silver (2008)
Leklai is one of the legendary substances used in The Thai Occult practices and there appears to be many types. Some are metallic and have good weight, and some are light, almost like a weird form of jet and a lot more work needs to be done on this subject.
