I adore a good Rahu amulet and these are mysteriously good as they come from the hands of the Lanna Master, Ajarn Suea. The amulet consists of a well carved piece of one eye coconut, which are supernatural in nature and occur in around one in 1500 coconuts (so the produces keep an eye open for them as they can be sold to Ajarns and monks). There are many forms of supernatural coconut but this is the most common one with one eye and a mouth that eats and stores good fortune for later use (coconuts usually have 3 circles on top, not two).

The carving is great on these and the back contains a phial of the dust of the one eye coconut, two Takrut and then other items that have been individually blessed to increase the attributes within.

Rahu is famous for the attribute of Serm Duang, which is the attribute of refreshing the lines of fate and lifting the fortunes, and it is why the people of this region turn to Rahu when things get tough. Rahu likes to have offerings on the full moon and Buddhist days, enjoying either 3, 5 or 8 black foods and candles, the details of which will be given to the buyer. It is OK to give 3 if it is easier, because praising him can help everyone. I love Rahu as he is an extremely rewarding deity if praised correctly, and he is one of the deities that should be appeased for the next few years to lessen the effect of the coming astrology.

Measures 2.4" and comes with Ajarn's card and kata.

A Superb Carved Coconut Rahu Amulet by Ajarn Suea - to raise the fortunes

  • The Rahu talisman is an ancient invocation of Brahmin forces to realign the lines of fate into a more favourable direction. He has specific needs and the best ones are made from one eyed coconut, which can bring a surprising clout to the item. Rarely prai in nature but they can be made from a galaa that has been used in funerary practices of old or to mix materials for spells and incantations.

It is considered extremely difficult to contact the higher gods, but Rahu is a little easier as he can be regarded as being half god and half devil. Many people have a period in life where their luck is bad, business is terrible, and there are many problems; then this is the time to pray to Rahu to clear away the negative elements in life and bring better things.
