This is from an issue made 6 years ago by the renowned maker of potent Prai Pieces, Ajarn Verataep of Bangkok, and it may come as a surprise that he also made amulets to the Hindu deities. While his specialty is ghost items he has also trained to make items from the angels and the higher deities, such is his psyche. The higher you go the more difficult it becomes, which is why top monks make most of the Somdet and very high Lersi items, they have the abilities to travel to those realms.
This is so cute and crazy. It is an amulet that consists of a figure of Ganesh with red skin standing with loads of attitude. He has been cast from a mix of earths and plants, fully consecrated and then placed in an oil for Saneah. This means that he brings the usual attributes for Ganesh (Picanet in Thai) of helping studies, intelligence, strong protection for all forms of harm and good fortune but also a bit of Saneah thrown in as being attractive to others helps you get your way and bring friends to you.
It measures just over 3.5" and comes with only the Namo Dtassa kata.
A beautiful amulet, full of character and life.

An Old Issue Ganesh Amulet by Ajarn Verataep
There is still much of the original influence from India in the Thai Occult system and amulets to Ganesh, Shiva, Kali and most of the other Indian gods are produced from time to time. They carry most of the attributes in the same way as the high Buddhist pieces.
