An Old Pair of Rahu Galaa Amulets by Kruba Boonmaa to raise the fortunes

I just found these while looking for the ones that just sold. This is an older pair, probably 40 years old but also from Kruba Boonmaa and utterly gorgeous.

I adore a good Rahu talisman and the best are made using a one eye coconut, which takes a long time to do as all carved by hand. The production of this style of talisman takes a long time, which affects costs and one eye coconuts are rare to find in nature, maybe only a few in 10,000. These have come from Kruba Boonmaa, THE maker for Rahu galaa amulets in the North and he follows the old Lanna way to produce these. These are actually two amulets that are sold together and are cased apart but then hang together to create the gap between them that these Rahu need because that is where the magic is kept. Casing this way can 'clack' the amulets but a small spot of blu tac stops that.

The work in this is exceptional and shows the Rahu Demon on the front of each side and they are coloured with vermillion in the design and old the inside, which have also been gilded. This is eclipse magic relating to Rahu, who controls much oif the magic for great fortune and fate, and is praised on the phases of the moon and when any eclipse occurs. The back of each half has astrological magic carved into the coconut shell,  and the effect is sublime. These are a classic type of amulet from this legendary Kruba who is still working in his 80's.

Rahu is famous for the attricute of Serm Duang, which is the attribute of refreshing the lines of fate and lifting the fortunes, something for which Rahu is renowned and it is why the people of this region turn to Rahu when things get tough. Rahu likes to have offerings on the full moon, periods of eclipse and Buddhist days, enjoying either 3, 5 or 8 black foods and candles, the details of which will be given to the buyer. It is OK to give 3 if it is easier, because praising him can help everyone and if the devotee is helped, the merit of that action passes to the maker and to the deity himself. I love Rahu as an extremely rewarding deity if praised correctly.

This Rahu measures 3" in its split case. They are superbly carved and are of a quality that this makes them good value, both as a talisman and because of the effect these have on our good fortune.

Legendary Lanna magic.

An Old Pair of Rahu Galaa Amulets by Kruba Boonmaa to raise the fortunes

  • The Rahu talisman is an ancient invocation of Brahmin forces to realign the lines of fate into a more favourable direction. He has specific needs and the best ones are made from one eyed coconut, which can bring a surprising clout to the item. Rarely prai in nature but they can be made from a galaa that has been used in funerary practices of old or to mix materials for spells and incantations.

It is considered extremely difficult to contact the higher gods, but Rahu is a little easier as he can be regarded as being half god and half devil. Many people have a period in life where their luck is bad, business is terrible, and there are many problems; then this is the time to pray to Rahu to clear away the negative elements in life and bring better things.
