The Golden Bumblebee is a traditional form of amulet from Burma but more specifically, the Tai Yai and they bring great fortune to the home. These amulets have to be made in a specific wood and have one of the magical mixtures of the Weiza both inside the bee and in the laquer itself, which gives the feeling of very high magic. The wood comes from the central core of old cart wheels because they represent driving forward through life, and the good fortune driving continually, like constant Serm Duang and the turning of the astrology from bad to good.

The Bee also contains mercury with the same spell as a Bia Kae for protection and a mix called Datura's Fruit for extreme charm as well as other Burmese Yaa. Datura is as well known in the West as it is here and a small plug of Datura wood seals the hole with a Yaa mix and mercury inside. If this bee is lightly shaken you can feel the mercury moving inside.

This is pure regional magic from about 40 years ago, and these bees have 4 functions

1. For charm and attraction. Easier to make people around like & love you.

2. For luck and wealth, as well as supporting the destiny of the owner.

3. For protection and safety from any dangers, ghosts, black magic or accidents.

4. To fulfil wishes because this amulet is alive and ready to help the owner as much as possible.

These Tai Yai Bees are representative of the Carpenter Bee, and when having these in your home do not be surprised if bees come and nest close by. This version likes to be kept in the same way as the Carpenter bee, which makes its home in bamboo that has been used in construction and you will often see its head popping out of a hole. Try to find a piece of bamboo and have this sat inside and looking out. Never let them rest on their backs as that is their position when they die and keep a small pot of honey close by. These just need the Namo Dtassa kata and caring for in this way to bring the benefits this classic regional form of magic brings to life. I love the Maleng Puu, which is their Tai Yai name.
This one measures a touch under 1.5" and as is usual with these, keeping the precepts and connecting with the mind brings the best results. I have had placed two silver rings for hanging and you will see what I mean when receiving this as it comes on a suitable cord. These have great movement when worn in this way.

Great regional magic and it is rare to find the old ones now.

An Old Tai Yai Golden Bumblebee Amulet with mercury - for renewing good fortune

  • Finding good magic from the peoples of Burma and the Tai Yai is difficult now because of instability in the region. The old ones are now cheaper than the new ones due to the time and proceedure of making these so a few old ones will be coming to the site for everyone to see.

The practice of using Mercury to aid the life in this region dates back before recorded history but looks to have originated in Burma. They are safe and are given the properties of highly spiritual makers, to the point where they reflect their inherent quality of magic. Remarkable items.

Interviews regarding the forms of mercury amalgams will follow at some point this year as we need a better understanding of this remarkable alchemy.
