This is virtually pristine Somdet Buddha Amulet by Luang Phor Pina from 1993 that has Kuan Im on the reverse, which is rare now. The front of the amulet shows a seated Buddha on his dias and it has aged beautifully in the grounds of Wat Sanomlao as this has been buried there for over 20 years. Luang Phor always packed the large bucha in the grounds with hundreds of his amulets to empower them and these have been being dug out for the last 4 years but are now reaching the end.

It is a common Thai practice to bury amulets in the grounds of a temple to absorb the earth element and become stronger over the years as they are in consecrated grounds. This is where the recent glut of fine Buddhist amulet by LP Pina has come from and they have funded the renovation of the temple. The simplicity of it is fantastic and it feels beautiful because of it absorbing the energy of this sacred place for so long.

There were many simple Buddha amulets produced by Luang Phor during the early 90's as he was at the height of his fame but this is a rare one, although in my opinion although they all carry a similar potency. These are Luang Phor's Phuttakhun Amulets using pure Buddha magic although he also made many with a crazy prai content too.

This is made from earths and a herbal content, cast and then baked and sometimes coloured to either sell or give away to his devotees. It was amazing how much Luang Phor gave away because his temple was in a poor area and he wanted the people to benefit from his gifts.

Luang Phor Pina is my spiritual hero.

A fine item from a  bygone age that has been cased in a medium grade silver and measures 1.9".

A beautiful piece that has been blessed by a Master magician. It has life.

An Original Somdet and Kuan Im Amulet in silver by LP Pina 1993

  • Luang Phor Pina was a disciple of the legendary Ajarn Man and followed a life of both spiritual and magical dedication, producing some of the wildest prai amulets that can be found. His Buddha amulets are also very special and his blessings are renowned for their potency.
