The Bia Kae Narai Plaeng Rup by Luang Pu Khambu - Mercury Protection - 2013
These were made by an important old monk 10 years ago and came from old stock, hence the reasonable price. Due to the amount of mercury inside these now generally go for more, and it can be felt when you move the amulet, slowly moving within.
This is ancient Wicha that uses a cowrie shell that has to have 32 teeth, 32 grooves in the shell to mimic the 32 parts of the body magic in Thai Buddhism. The mercury is inside the shell along with various herbs and then it is sealed with wax or lacquer.
This Bia Gae is a great amulet for Metta, Authority and Serm Duang, so this can be used as a substitute for a Rahu, but with the extra attributes of Metta, Maha Saneah and Mahaniyom, as well as Klaew Klaat. It can bring love and attraction from the opposite sex, and support from someone of higher authority. If it hung on a belt loop on the right side of the body it specifically brings protection against weaponry, and on the left it brings protection through the attribute of Maha Ut. This was blessed for months with the kata Narai Pleng Roop.
It is traditional to wrap the shell in Lead Yant plates to focus the magic, and this one is unusual because of the image of Phra Narai on the back (Vishnu).
Measures 1.75" and comes with the Namo Dtassa kata.
