Amulets to Phra Sivalee are a traditional form of amulet throughout the region but this is in the Burmese style albeit made via Tai Yai Wicha, and they bring great fortune to the home. This has come from my favourite Tai Yai Forest Temple north of Chiang Mai where the monks produce the best Tai Yai magic that I can currently find. It is also best to get these where you know the source (as with anything) and support the makers that make magic today.
These amulets have to be made in 2 forms of wood. The gilded one is carved by hand from Maai Sak (Teak) and the raw wood ones are from Maai Rak (Love Wood) but they have intinsically the same benefits although there's a little Saneah in the latter.
Phra Sivalee is always depicted as a walking monk with a cane in one hand and various objects in the other (or nothing). He was the right hand man of The Buddha and was renowned for his great fortune. The magic for Phra Sivalee is added to many forms of amulet for its great fortune and it is even in the work of LP Pina, but this is a pure Buddhist form, as is the kata. Its amazing how different in feeling they are just from the woods as the blessing is the same, so it is really down to preference as to how they look as they do the same job.
This is a new release from the temple with the gold one measuring around 2.75" and the Maai Rak version is around 2.5" in its case. As is usual with these, keeping the precepts and connecting with the mind brings the best results but there's also a kata with this.
High Tai Yai magic.

Superb Hand Carved Phra Sivalee Amulets by Wat Paa - Tai Yai magic
Tai Yai magic is one of the regional forms but it is very difficult to separate it from the Burmese way as they are so intertwined, but the Bees are generally Tai Yai. Remarkable things for strong protection, luck and charm.
The practice of using Mercury to aid the life in this region dates back before recorded history but looks to have originated in Burma. They are safe and are given the properties of highly spiritual makers, to the point where they reflect their inherent quality of magic. Remarkable items.
Interviews regarding the forms of mercury amalgams will follow at some point this year as we need a better understanding of this remarkable alchemy.
