The Hair of Luang Phor Gan - an Arahant
This is an amulet type that is now rarely produced as there are now few monks of legend (maybe with the exception of Kruba Boonchum). Luang Phor Gan was of 'the great generation' of magical monks, and the bodies of these high magicians hold great potency. This applies not just to their relics of bone of Phra Thaat, but also products from them while they were alive. The hair of these monks was generally stored away (which is called Gae Saa), their tears were sometimes collected if their eyes watered, as these are considered to be the tears of an angel, and they also used their saliva.
This amulet contains the Gae Saa (hair relic) of Luang Phor Gan, who died in 1970. He is one of the most famous monks to come from Nakhon Sawan, along with Luang Phor Dern. The jar of materials in the photo was collected by a relative of a dealer friend and Luang Phor's name was inside the lid. In the jar there were also Phra Thaat, which I carefully removed and they are now on my altar. We are not sure whether the Phra Thaat formed from the hair but they look more like body Phra Thaat that were added post mortem. This jar will be sent to the first buyer as it now also holds potency. There was enough hair in the jar to make two amulets that are in gold plated silver cases. Gae Saa has the power for Metta Mahaniyom at the greatest level to bring love and support from those in higher authority. Through this is eases and enchants the life. With being from an Arahant, it also banishes all dangers and evil spirits. The products of an Arahant monk are treated like a lower level Phra Thaat and this goes on the deity altar a level below the Buddha. This is an important amulet.
These measure 1.375" in the gold plated silver cases, and please use the Namo Dtassa kata with these.
This is one of my favourite amulet types.
