The Ganesh Amulet by Luang Pu Nong 2012 - Metta/Good Fortune - LAST TWO
Luang Pu Nong, made some amazing items in his life and is particularly renowned for his ability to travel through the uppwer realms, even until his death a few years back when he was well into his 90's. He was one of the last of the great generation of monk magicians and I was surprised to find these in the drawers of an old amulet store.
This was made from Nawa metal, which is an amalgam of 9 Sacred Metals - Iron, Mercury, Gold, Silver, Bornite, Red Copper, Zinc, Lead and Pure Copper. It is a spiritual mix that holds the blessing well, into which he added a herbal mix and 5 Takruts before inviting Ganesh to reside within. The Thais have an extensive Wicha for the Indian Gods and Ganesh (Picanet in Thai) is a favourite. He brings Metta, Great Fortune and an affinity with people through Metta Mahaniyom popularity. There is also an element of the mind in this piece through improving the transmission of knowledge through Ganesh being the god of teachers.
As offerings, green bananas, flowers and lots of kata. This is a fab piece that comes with Luang Pu's card, which is said when replacing the fresh water on the altar each day.
These are a beautiful size at 1.75" and these will go quickly as good blessed Ganesh amulets are now difficult to find.
