The Bespoke Mermaid Nature Spirit Amulet by Ajarn Apichai - incredible magic
Ajarn Apichai is a sublime magical creature who has extensive knowledge, and this is the latest example of it. Here Ajarn persuades a Nature Spirit to reside in an amulet for your benefit, and this is a bespoke service, so you are tied to a powerful spirit. The primary source of Wicha for this work was taught to Ajarn by Kruba Sitthi, who was in his 90's at the time. See the photo above.
Ingredients and Materials
The primary sacred ingredients used for this type of amulet include soils from 7 temples, 7 cemeteries, the 4 corners of the city and from the 8 directions. Ashes from 7 cemeteries, Prai powder from those who died violent deaths, Prai powder from women who died while pregnant, Prai powder from those who died on a Saturday and were cremated on a Tuesday, and Panneng powder. Other ingredients include one-eyed coconut shell powder, 108 types of sacred herbs, Wan Saneh Chan Hom, Wan Kai Daeng, Wan Sao Long, Thao Wan Long and sacred herb flower powder. The hand made powders in these include Ittijae powder, Maharaj powder, and Pathamang powder. It also includes the four elemental minerals, and over 100 other types of ancient sacred powders!
These materials are blended as the primary mixture to press into the shape of the amulet, in which the nature spirit will reside. A small hole is intentionally left open for the Phli Kam ritual to capture the natural spirit itself. Wherever the ritual is performed, soil or objects from that specific location will be filled into the hole to act as a ’home’ for the entity of that place. As each of these are different, the finished design will come from the psyche of Ajarn Apichai. The Phi Nguak (Mermaid/Water Spirit) Amulet by Ajarn Apichai The Lanna Phi Nguak differs from the Southern Thai sorcery beliefs regarding Nguak, though they do share some similarities. In Lanna beliefs, the Phi Nguak is a fierce water spirit that is formed from all types of spirits dwelling beneath large rivers, including the souls of humans who drowned and transformed into the spiritual essence of the Phi Nguak. It can manifest in many forms, such as a giant serpent, a crocodile, a giant fish, or even a half-human/half-fish or half-human/half-snake creature.
The Phi Nguak's duty is to watch over and protect major rivers, maintaining the abundance and fertility of the waters and streams. As a type of water sprite, it is believed to inhabit caves along the riverbanks or reside in the mythical underworld deep underwater.
Characteristics and Folklore
The Deadly Lure: They possess a habit of luring people in by enchanting them with beauty. It is believed that anyone who hears a Nguak's voice will fall deeply in love with it, becoming so captivated that they mindlessly walk into the water to their death. This is the origin of many water sprite myths.
Cultural Reflections: There are folktales about romances between humans and Phi Nguak, as well as the legend of the "Phi Nguak Pattern Sarong" in Lampang Province, which clearly reflects this deeply ingrained belief.
Rituals and Amulets
To harvest materials for making a Phi Nguak amulet, Ajarn will ritually gather soil from the banks of a large river, specifically at a spot believed to be a Phi Nguak’s cave and use that to plug the hole in the amulet. Once the spirit of the Phi Nguak is invited into the object, it is further consecrated using various incantations to channel the spirit's mystical attributes.
These include The Golden Mermaid Kata, The Heart of the River Kata, The Heart of the Fish Kata, and various incantations for great charm and good fortune to amplify its latent power.
Mystical Powers and Blessings
The Phi Nguak is believed to possess magical powers capable of tricking human minds into infatuation. Its voice is seductive and highly alluring, making it an excellent tool for extreme charm, captivation, mercy, and popularity (Metta Mahaniyom). Furthermore, as a water-based entity, its power embodies coolness, growth, and abundance. The Phi Nguak can bestow various forms of wealth and good fortune upon the worshipper according to their prayers. Additionally, it offers protection against dangers, evil spirits, and bad omens. It is exceptionally powerful for water safety—ensuring that boat commutes, water travel, and those with water-based occupations remain safe and out of harm's way. Ajarn also just told me that he will add an extra Takrut for Good Fortune to the back to take account of the lack of good fortune for a few years in the near future.
Note: No specific Kata is required to use this amulet. You may simply focus your mind and make a wish. It also needs no specific offerings, but does like a spray of perfume.
When this arrives you need to press 12 lit incense into the ground and project your mind up to Mae Toranee, the Earth Goddess and ask that this spirit can enter the home. Once the incense burns out, you can take it in.
Ajarn did the first Mermaid yesterday, and it followed a similar process as the Phi Yak. He chose a soil next to the shoreline that had been turned over by worms, which is in itself supernatural as it reflects the recycling of fate. It was the same principle of invitation into the soil placed into the amulet, and then sealing it with wax. An amulet of the water spirit was then also given to the waters because of the 'take one, leave one' rule and then Ajarn left the offering tray over that amulet (see pics above). What I didn't expect with this was the kick the amulet had. I am used to Prai for good fortune, which is generally cool in nature, but this was warm, and man, it has power. It is as strong as the Phi Yak, equally mysterious, and this will be just as popular now the first one is being completed. Rare and important magic that takes time to dry as it is a larger talisman. The example shown is a cast from the mould, rather than an actual amulet, but images will follow shortly. It will have a lab made white sapphire in this piece.
These will measure around 3.15" in a clear case and comes with the card of Ajarn Apichai.
