The Mask of Ganesh - The God of Success by Luang Phor Pern - 2009
Yes, this is an old release under the name of the legendary Luang Phor Pern of Wat Bang Phra, the famous Sak Yant temple near to Bangkok. This old issue came in their original box, as seen in the photo, and was dedicated to the old Master who passed away in 2002.
This is such a beautiful amulet and there's no way they could make things of this quality now, and for this price. The casting and enamelling on this are top notch, and the words in Thai at the back give the name of LP Pern and Wat Bang Phra.
The Muan Sarn mix at the back and the Takrut are dedicated and enchanted to bring success and the smooth passage of life, which is typical for a Ganesh amulet. The scripting at the back was applied during the blessing process, which took a long time because of the quantity produced. I am very familiar with these but have seen none for sale for some time, and grabbed a pile of certain colours at a shop I recently found that has loads of old stock. In both Hinduism and Thai Buddhism, Ganesha is revered as the remover of obstacles and the deity of wisdom, success, and the intellect. Devotees believe that amulets depicting Ganesha can bring several blessings, including:
Success and Fortune: Overcoming challenges in career, business, and personal endeavors.
Wealth and Prosperity: Attracting good fortune and financial abundance.
Protection: Guarding against black magic, evil intentions, and harm.
Knowledge and Wisdom: Bestowing intellectual clarity and insight.
This amulet goes on the lower level of the deity altar that faces East, North or anywhere between and can share the offerings given. These are an item of beauty.
Measures 2.5" and it comes with a Buddhist kata.
It's nice to have these back online.
