The Medusa Locket bound to you - by Ajarn Apichai - incredible bespoke magic

An Astonishing new locket from the mind of Ajarn Apichai

Medusa was a daughter of Phorcys and Ceto. She was a goddess who maintained her chastity and worshipped the goddess Athena, the goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare. Athena was envious of Medusa's beauty, especially her hair. Medusa's beauty also caught the eye of the great god Poseidon, the creator of storms and earthquakes. One day, while Medusa was worshipping Athena in her temple, Poseidon snuck into the temple to assault her. Athena, who already held personal jealousy, accused Medusa of desecrating her by fornicating with a man in the temple, a place forbidden to men. Because Poseidon was an immortal god, he escaped punishment. However, Athena cursed Medusa, turning her hair into snakes and causing anyone she looked in the eye to turn to stone. She then created a temple for Medusa in the desert to make her live in hardship and misery. Medusa was killed by Perseus, with the goddess Athena assisting him. As repayment, Perseus gave Medusa's head to Athena, who then affixed it to her favourite shield, the Aegis, to intimidate her enemies and protect against the dangers of war.

The entire story of Medusa shows that, in reality, Medusa did nothing wrong. She was just an ordinary woman who strictly dedicated herself as a priestess in Athena's temple and maintained her chastity. However, she was raped and was also hated and envied by a certain group. As a result, she did not receive justice and was cursed into a vicious monster. Even though Medusa had the power to turn people to stone, she rarely wanted to use it. She tried to flee and live in a faraway cave so no one could find her, but various heroes made her part of their quests. It is natural that when intruders invade and try to harm her, she must defend herself. But why do people only speak from Perseus's perspective and praise him as a hero? Hardly anyone speaks from Medusa's point of view. Overall, her life was incredibly tragic and pitiful.

Ajarn Apichai has combined the beliefs of ancient Greece, the legend of Medusa, and Lanna (Northern Thai) sorcery. Drawing from Medusa's power to turn those who meet her gaze into stone, Ajarn has used the magic of 'Suppressing Armies, Greatly Halting, and Reflecting' (Wicha Sakot Thap-Maha Rangap-Ka Sathon), which has the power to stop danger and reflect it back when an enemy tries to harm, to protect against intimidation, slander, and jealousy, and to reclaim justice and prevent exploitation.

From the legend where Medusa's hair turned into venomous snakes, the 'War Cobra' spell (Wicha Jong Ang Suek) is used, granting great authority, making enemies fearful, and ensuring their defeat in confrontations. As Medusa's severed head was placed on Athena's shield to intimidate enemies and protect in war, the 'Subduing the Earth' spell (Wicha Khom Thorani) is used to intimidate enemies, making them fearful and unable to cause harm. And, because Medusa was originally a beautiful woman with lovely hair, the 'Fragrant-Haired Queen' spell (Wicha Nang Phaya Phom Hom) is included to bestow loving-kindness, great charm, and enchantment.

This Medusa amulet, therefore, possesses powers of great authority, protection from danger and enemies, prevention of exploitation and bullying, intimidation of foes, the reflection of all negativity, and is also an object of ultimate charm.
