The Casting Process 
 The Buddha statues that Ajarn Tui is making are currently in wax, and they will be cast using the ancient wax replacement process. Once finished, they will be Samrit (a traditional bronze alloy), which contains seven types of metals in total - copper, silver, gold, nak (a pink gold alloy), lead, zinc, and mercury. These will be cast at Songkran (Thai New Year) in mid-April, and this is the only chance you will get to be part of this Buddhas. We have 7 weeks. The three statues represent different local styles and periods, such as Chang Saen, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai periods.
      For the Takrut, Ajarn will use the Yant Nam Bo Jueam Sai (Freshwater Well Yantra). Its spiritual power brings peace, coolness, and mutual support to one's life. Inside the Takrut, Ajarn will write the person's name and their date, month, and year of birth, surrounded by the appropriate Yantra. This also serves to boost one's horoscope, making it particularly useful for those whose luck is down or whose fortune is broken. This project helps uplift and support their luck.
      With the Yants, it is one plate per person, because it is one destiny per person. This isn't a Yant Duang, it’s The Refreshing Well Water Yant that brings peace, tranquility and prosperity. The Yants with the names will be melted down to become part of the metal for the Buddha statue itself and we have just 7 weeks to decide to take part. 
   I will photograph the process of casting, which will start with a consecration ceremony before melting everything together. Because this is a Buddha there is a chant before writing the Yant itself. The metal plate must be purified before writing the Yant, and Ajarn will chant over it again before it is melted. Once it is a Buddha statue,  5 monks come to the Samnak to chant over it again to bring it to life (referred to as 'opening their eyes'. This consecration and all future blessings that occur throughout the year in Ajarns busy Samnak also helps with health, fate/astrology, and good luck of all those who have their Yants in the metal.
   We have wanted to do this for some time and now is the right time. The future is upon us, and we are providing a refuge for your astrology within what will be beautiful Buddhas that will be kept on Ajarn's main altar for everyone to see.
